Above; Lake Lure and marina with mallards. The lizard is a 6 Lined Race Runner... very fast! Dennis captured the feeding habits of the Nuthatch and the close up of the beautiful Million Bells flowers.

On Sunday August 10th. we took a drive to Linville Gorge. We walked to the falls and up all the other trails for different views. It was cool in the shade and a nice breeze was a welcome change from the very hot weather we have been having.

Then we drove along the ridgeline on the Kistler Memorial Highway which is a very bumpy dirt road. We always enjoy the scene from Wiseman's View. It is best in late afternoon as the sun hits the far side of the Gorge.
